Application: Hydroxymethylphenylphosphinic acid
is a bifunctional copolymerisable phosphorous flame retardant monomer, which can be polycondesated with ethylene glycol and terephthalate to form flame retardant PET, and renders the alternated PET and the resulting plastics and fibers good fire-resistance property. The spinning property of the PET is fairly good as the Hydroxymethylphenylphosphinic acid was used.
Usable method: Added after pre-esterfication with EG during the PET synthesize procedures. Addition of approx. 3.3% HMPPA during polycondensation process. The P-content of the resulting flame retardant polyester is approx. 0.6%. Consult our technical service of determining the polycondensation conditions
